I need to know if there is a way to make Windows 2000 server assign more CPU power to a specific application. I know this can be done in Linux and Unix, but I don't know if there is a plugin or third party app (or even a Windows setting) that will let me do this in 2000 Server.

Thanks!

You can change the proiority of a process.

Open task manager, and go to the processes tab.

Right click on the process you want to change the priority of, and select priority and select the new level.

Be carefull doing this. You can kill the system from here.

I'm sure that there is a way to do this from dos, but I'm not sure what it is.
