Hello,

I am creating a logo for someone. I am creating a square with a curved top a bit more difficult than my example but hopefully you will uderstand.

I am trying to create the same object inside the square but smaller to get an outline. I have to do this as I am using the paths to cut vinyl.

Can I align the two points of the cover from differnt shapes togother. Thanks Rachel

Object > Path > Offset Path...

Enter a negative value.

Blueark has the solution. Also, give a looksee at the Align palette.
If you needed a non-centered alignment, like you'd want the tops of each curve to meet at the same tangent, just select the inner object, grab the top point and pull the object up until it snaps to the point at the top of the outer object.
Hope that made sense.
Mark
