Can You add a texture underneath your picture?? (newbie)

I am very new to Freehand and have a question.

Is it possibe to add a texture such as a brick wall under a picture I have made in freehand?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

Open the layers window. Create a new layer. On that layer, draw a closed selection. Fill it with your Texture (bricks). Then move the selection behind the original layer by dragging the new brick layer below the original layer in the layer window.
