Can YA users monitor non YA extensions?

Hi Experts,
I have a 3300 Release 7 UR3 system with the latest Your Assistant. The soft phone users would like to see when the desk phone users are on the phone. Is this possible? if so, How do I programme it?

Hi Brooke,

You can add non YA users to the YA Server just like you have added your YA users, just leave them unlicensed.

Not necessary to program.

YA now has a presence management system that will poll the 3300 for Mitai events.

CAUTION! Do not enable presence management on a system with 400 or more Phones. The system sets duplicate Mitai Monitors on the controller and the maximum monitors is 1000.

Learned these limits the hard way.

Instructions on presence management are in the manual.
