Can XP Be Forced to Retain Stick Drive Settings? 2

Is there a way to force XP to retain Stick drive window settings? Specifically, the window size (max) and the View (detail). Every time I put in the stick drives, Windows uses the settings that it wants. I have to change it for every folder on the stick disk that I open every time I use it.
