...the PBX vendor installed the four backup central office lines that I ordered in the Merlin Magix? If so, how? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

What is your question?? If you had 4 new lines installed - where they aalso actually physically connected to your system or just terminated at a 66 block near your system?
If they were actaully connected to the Magix - do you know where they were plugged in (which module, and in what order - so you can label them correctly in the system.
What mode is your system running in (key or Hybrid/PBX?

If in key mode - the lines will automatically show up on each phone. If in Hybrid/PBX mode - you will need to add the 4 new lines to your pools. How many pools do you have? If just one - it is probably pool 70. If so, go into system programming, start, lines/trunks, pools, enter the pool# (probably 70) - do an "inspect" to see what lines are already assigned - and assuming the lines were added sequentially - key in the 4 new line numbers and press enter after each entry. Do another inspect to make sure they are all there. Lines are numbered starting with 801. So if you already had 4 lines - they would be 801, 802, 803, 804. You would now add 805, 806, 807 and 808.

I don't believe the lines will just appear in the key mode. You will need to assign them to the phones, unless this is a brand new system no one has done any programming on. Even then, isn't it just the first 8 lines that automatically show up?

2BVoice I believe you are correct. You will have to manually add the new lines to each phone.
