Hi Guys another question that has cropped up.

If we have not checked the voicemail option in the User setup, is there any way to prevent the user ticking the voicemail option from the preferences tab in Phone Manager?

Also, the Voicemail button from within the Directory section on phone manager is enabled, even for users that we haven't given voicemail options to. Therefore people are leaving voicemail messages for users that cannot collect them.

This cannot be disabled- if a msg is left for a user he should still be able to retrieved by dialing *17

Effectivly all users have VM & the tick box is realy "Enable Divert to VM"

The source Numbers have been taken out so *17 won't work.

*17 will still work with no source number as long as u have a VM pin number set

If its Voicemail Pro, create a start point for the user/users that you don't want to have voicemail and add a genric action that just prompts "Voicemail not available" or such like.

There may still be ways for getting messages into the mailbox (forwarding from another mailbox) but most callers will get the message.

As Sizbut said set up a start point in vm pro for those users who don’t want mail and have this goto a transfer to reception. This way it won’t matter if vm is ticked in the phone manager or not.

[cheers]

Folks, sometimes its already there but just not noticed.

If running in Intuity mode, log in to the mailbox and press 5 (personal options) and then 7 (accept call answer).

When set to off, callers get a "Sorry, the mailbox you have reached is not accepting messages at this time. Please
disconnect" message.

Hope that helps
