Can we create a template to gather data from a .pdf?

We get on going .pdf files from a lab that has data we need to insert into a Word doc report and also an Excel sheet.
Can we create something to extract the data from that .pdf
The layout is the same every time.

Any help would be appreciated to automate this process.
