CM7.0 Avaya 9640g phones. We have static IP for the phones but now we are switching to DHCP so is there a way we can clear phone static IP remotely. We have already tried busyout reset release

I have not found a way to remotely clear out static IP addresses. Pretty sure it isn't possible but here's to hoping someone has a solution!

You could try SLAMon to remotely access the set and use the keypad emulation to enter the same key sequence that you would do at the physical set.

Hmmm...
I'm not familiar with Avaya's Diagnostic Server and SLA Mon. Assuming you could gain access to the CRAFT menu to clear the values, you would still have to log into each phone individually. That would save you the physical travel portion from going desk to desk but the time involved would be about the same.

Still, a worthy suggestion for additional research!

You could definitely do this through SLAMon if they are enabled for it. It would be slow and manual but it's an option.
