Chaps,

I have been asked for the following:

VM route --> Checks user logged in - If Yes --> xfer call - If no --> xfer to voice question then dump into users mailbox.

The key here is the users arent to have v/mail turned on for their Extn.

is there a variable that can check for user status?

cheers

Sean

Just do a supervised transfer, if they are not logged in you can route the no answer to the voice question.

shouldnt really because i am trying to catch up with you, but have a star. good answer.

Never argue with an idiot. bystanders won't be able to tell the difference.

Thats what I have already set up (you mean assisted transfer i take it?)

this is a faily easy way around it, but if they are on a call, I dont really want the voicemail to have any effect, just an engaged tone.... only when they are logged out.... crazy I know....

actually, Ill leave the busy on an assisted xfer with no link, and link no answer to my voice question.

exactly :)

Hmmmm - dont count those stars just yet.

this doesnt work as I would like.

If I link no answer to voice question and she is logged out, it drops the call. It only works if I use Busy......

I think this isnt going to do what i need it.

any more paths to try?

Why can't they have VM on for the extension? If you set the no answer time way up it will never go to voicemail while logged in but when she logs out it will go to VM and you can use the mailbox to do what you like :)

In fact I see why now, but that is one odd setup

No to worry - Ive done it the easyway - its because they are agents set to longest waiting. they didnt want v/mail on the user when group calls hit their extn.

anyway. moot point now, i have set it up as above so only DDI calls are routed to v/mail and customer is happy with this.

cheers!

Mr Monkey, why not use forward on busy for that user to send calls to a shortcode set to give busy tone, then when she logs out the call will go to VM as I said above and if she is busy they will get the busy tone....sorted :)

Amriddle, you could also use the nor mal transfer for this
The assisted transfer can have a 2 second speech delay !
