Can VFP 6 and VB 5 co-exist on the same development station?

I'm a VB programmer re-entering FoxPro after a nine year vacation- the last FoxPro I worked in was mfoxplus.exe. Ok... I'll wait until you stop laughing.

I know that you CAN'T compile and distribute VB 5 applications anymore once you install VB 6 on the same computer. I guess you'd call it ".dll hell".

What I was hoping is that one of you "Visual" FoxPro gurus could tell me if you've had any experience (problems) with installing VFP 6 and VB 5 on the same development workstation- especially compiling and distributing applications.

Thanks

Hey Javierp,

Can you create distribution diskettes for a VB 5.0 DAO application that worked on the user's system after you installed VB 6 on your development system? I don't think so.

Microsoft gave me a list of .dll's to replace on the development system so I could create working VB 5.0 installation disks for users again. They said VB 6 caused VB 5.0's installation disks to fail- advised me to use seperate worstations for development.

Any info/experience you can share would be appreciated.
