Hi,

using XP and VB5...

I've had a few 'trojan' warnings popping up for a while so I re-formatted my C: drive and re-installed everything.

Windows Automatic Updates installed IE8 and my browser program that I've run in the IDE for a year or two stopped working. After I re-installed IE6 I got my VB5 browser back.

Should I be able to use IE8 as the VB5 browser?

Better still, can I get it to use Firefox (currently version 17)?

Regards
Peter

Yes

Hi,

any idea how I can do that please as it didn't work last time.

I suspect it is to do with references.

If you have early-bound to IE6 then your program won't work with IE8.

Without seeing your relevant code, it is difficult to comment further
