Hi.

I am a Linux programmer. I gotta do a job in VB.NET (and vba in Excel). The problem is: I dont know if Vb is powerful enough for what I want.

I have a log file (c:\log.txt) and I want VB to monitor the file in real-time.

Exactly like in unix: tail -f log.txt < perl script.pl

Im sure a solution exist. Any idea from a VB gourou?

I've made something just like that in VB6, so I think .NET is powerfull enough. If this response was usefull to you, please mark it with a Star!
