Hi all,
Our company is upgrading to new business software based on sql server 2000. The owner wants to be able to send mass faxes, or emails to our customers. When I asked the software people about this, they said their software doesn't support that, but it could be done with a trigger.

So, my question is, how would I go about making the database perform real world tasks (like faxing, or emailing) independent of the software working on the database? The fax software recommended by the company is winfax pro. Email would be whatever worked.

Thanks for any input,

Jim

Sounds like you need better "software people". We link SQL Server tables into an Access database and run everything there. It's surprisingly easy to do, too!
