I need to have extension 4000 to hunt and CFNA to 4001 then to 4002 then back to extension 4000's mailbox. Each extensions have its own personal mailbox assigned. When people calls x4000 it should follow the hunt chain explained above. When you call x4001 and x4002 calls should be routed regularly, HUNT to personal voicemail and CFNA to voicemail also.

Can this be done? If not, any suggestions please?

You cannot forward beyond 4002. If SFA is set in 4001 then the call will forward no answer from 4000 to 4001 and then to 4002. It will NOT forward beyond that but will continue to ring until the call is answered or the orginator hangs. A call can only be forward to a second phone and no further. It does not matter that SFA is set in 4002's class of service.

Hi,

If all the sets in the hunt chain have SFA it will hunt to the next set... In my office we have a hunt chain of 8 sets... 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5 -> 6 -> 7 -> 8 -> 1 ETC ETC

I tried programming it, call forward no answer stopped in extension 4001. It wouldn't even CFNA to extension 4002.

I guessed no can do. Thanks a lot for the responses.

ACE,
I did that, but call forward no answer still stopped in extension 4001. It just kept on ringing and ringing until I hung up the phone.

The hunting part worked but not the CFNA.

If the circle doesn't work... You could make some hunt groups...

Change the DID numbers of the sets to non-DID. And give the PLDN's the DID numbers of the set. Make the list entries the new non-DID numbers of the sets.

I.E.

PLDN 4000
Entry 0 - 1000 (Old 4000 set)
Entry 1 - 1001 (Old 4001 Set)
Entry 2 - 1002 (Old 4002 Set)
Entry 3 - Voicemail

PLDN 4001
Entry 0 - 1001 (Old 4001 set)
Entry 1 - 1002 (Old 4002 Set)
Entry 2 - Voicemail

PLDN 4002
Entry 0 - 1002 (Old 4003 set)
Entry 1 - Voicemail

I hope the explanation is clear... I'm just awake for a few minutes... [morning]

Marc D.
