I am wondering the word INTERCOM can be changed or it is hard programmed? I like using the word Line 1, Line 2, etc.. This is how I label my T72316es I find the customer understand what a line is vs the name intercom.

"A phone is a phone and not a computer workstation".

No
As these are intercom buttons used for various call functions

Lines are line buttons and these can be changed to reflect your line name
If you assign a line button to a phone then change the name

The reason I ask is that I actually use the word INTERCOM for the feature VOICE CALL. I call it either "HANDS FREE INTERCOM" or just INTERCOM. In my opinion it makes more sense. Who knows what VOICE CALL means. With the T7316 sets it is easy cause I just print the label.

It's been this way for years.Norstar then BCM now neither. Both discontunied.

discontinued but millions of installations that still needs servicing. Keeps me busy all the time!
