Can the user sort in a report in the VB embedded viewer?

Hi,
I am pretty new to Crystal, I was asked by one of our developers if the end user could sort data in a report when viewing it in the Crystal Active X in a Visual basic6 application.

I know you can sort data by issueing a new SQL query in your Vb code.
Does this mean the way to go is to add buttons in VB6 that did various sorts?

Or can the actual report contain the ability to sort?
