I have Quark 4.1 for Windows and when creating text or picture boxes I would like the cursor to snap to the nearest 1/16" on the rulers so I can arrange things quickly and easily without wasting time nudging boxes .001 of an inch.

Is there an Xtension that does this? I've looked into guide/grid Xtensions to create a grid of white lines every .0625" on the master page but they either can't create that many guide lines or the color cannot be different from the standard guides, or they can't be placed on the master, etc.

Does anyone know a solution?

You can adjust the baseline grid so that it is horizontally ruled every few points, but im not sure a picture box would snap to it, nor would it cover the verticle grid.
Do you really need rules every .0625"? It seems like your design would be well thought out before you are producing it, at least enough that you would know where a single grid line should be located. And then you can enable snap to grid sucessfully.
Also, the measurements pallet allows you to enter precise locations for boxes so you dont have to worry about nudging or snapping.
