can the anonymous logon group be replaced ?

I'd like to know if we can remove the anonymous logon username/group located in the permissions field of the nortel/ common/ftp directory.
and replace it with the 2 FTP accounts: cpanonftp, and cpfilexfer.
Will call pilot still function correctly?

Sorry.. forgot to add that I have Call pilot 4.0 with windows 2003 Appliance edition.
