Can tape importing be scripted in ArcServe2000? 1

Is it possible to script the importing of tapes as a pre-job in ArcServe 2000. We have tape librarians inserting tapes in our Dell LTO tape libaries but would rather not have them interface with the ArcServe software. Is there a way to script the import process to map specific tapes to specific slots? Tapes are swapped everyday to go offsite.
