Can`t run 3D Studio Max

I´m from Austria, so my English not very good.
When i try to start the programm, there is the colored (blue or something) screen and the programm seems to run, but after this screen my PC returns to the desktop.
Can somebody help me?

Yeah, might be the problem, with your RAM. But I think its more likely that you have a system violation. And make sure your videocard supports the resolution you are running 3DSmax in. That could be the problem!

I have the same problem with #D studio max..

I install it, put a correct Serial number, key, ... and it doesn't show any error...

when I double-click on the icon it doesn't start, neither gives me an error message...

Got 256Mbs of RAM and a PIII 450

In this particular PC where I've tried to install 3d Studio Max 5, I'm running win98Se, office2000, autocad2002, NortonAV2002...

Is there any inconvenience in running 3D Studio Max? I can't put it alright..what's worng?

Help!!!

I have installed 3d studio max 4 on win98 but the 1st time I started it up (after the blue window disappeared), it asked me what renderengine I wanted to use (hedi ect.). I didnt mark anything assuming the right one would be selected already but then It threw me out of the program and said there was an unrepairable problem with 3d studio max. I uninstalled and reinstalled it but it didnt ask me what renderengine again. HELP!!!!

i have a PIII 450 with 128megas of RIMM memory, using W98Se i had installed 3D Studio Max 5 and it ran on this system, but now that i want to execute it it does appear the loading plugin window but afterwards it doesnt run the program it just gets back to the desktop (mainly the same problem that Maverick and Abstraiko have). I read that there was some kind of problem with cdilla64.exe and cdilla10.exe, those are the programs that i see running when i hit CTRL + ALT + DEL after the loading plugin windows disappears. Any ideas about how to solve this?
