Hello all,

I have a website hosted on a shared server with a virtual domain. What I want to do is have a subdomain called listserv.mydomain.com which points to a completely different IP address at a completely different location and server (so we can outsource a mailing list). Will this work? I know a subdomain can point to a different folder on the same machine as the domain, but what about a completely different IP address?

Any help appreciated.

Yes! It can.

Chris.
