Can sub-directory information be specified in the LDAP URL?

Hello,

I use to following LDAP URL string to access user data on my development server

LDAP://development/dc=jaic,dc=local

So as you can see ...I am looking at the base_dn - jaic.local
The thing is I would like to query only a specific sub-directory namely : Users under the base_dn - jaic.local

Is it possible to do this ?
