Can someone help me out, i have created a Vlan on 3524 switch. My problems is when I disabled stp on a single switch port, The ports associated with the vlan became amber on the LED's. When typing the command "sh vlan" the particualar vlan was in act/ishu state. can antone explain y? when typing "sh run" is showed a statement "vlan 20 shut"

What exactally are you trying to do? Whats the logical setup going to look like (i.e whats this switch connected to on the ports and uplinks) and how does this 3524 fit into the big picture? If you can tell me this I might be able to help. Thanks.

The ports will go amber when every you make a VLAN change because they are recomputing STP (this is if you run PVST). This should only remain for about 50 seconds until STP has an loopfree image of the network

diabling STP on one switch port diables STP for that VLAN, may have loops.
