Can someone give my site a quick review?

I have a site that is still being developed (nearly complete) and I've had a few people tell me that the text is hard to read all over the site.

The problem is, I am very colorblind and the way the black reacts on the gray looks very readable to me..but apparently to those with better color perception, it's hard to see.

Can a few people go to and let me know if the text is hard to read and what color/size would make it better?

All pages are pretty much the same, so you really only need to look at the index or a few to get the general idea.

If you know of a better color, please let me know the HEX for it. If you give me a name to look the hex for, I'll never figure it out.

Thanks.

cgilover, good layout. Like the menu, like the flash logo-thingy, like the spider image, and also like the pixel interface.

However, i'd change the light-gray color to black, and change the font text from black to white. That might make the readibility better. Plus light-gray and red (from the headers) don't quite mix.

Your 'Contact' page does a weak validation of the form. I tried to submit it blank and it stopped me, but it went through when I entered just 'asad' for the email field. it did no check for the '@' and '.' chars.

Other then that, its good. Clean and decent. Good job.

Thanks for your help.

So you're saying all the backgrounds should be black and all the text, white? Except the table headers for the articles, of course.

UPDATE: I changed the section on the right (main section) and made it a lighter color. The original color that was used is found in the verticle tables on the LEFT.

Which do you like better? Can you suggest any other bg colors for the tables?

Thanks.

New is much better--more readable.

You think I should make that the final change then? Would the red background colors work well with this? Or would those have to change too? I will make that change in a minute just to make a visual.

Personally, I like the low contrast mix of black text on a grey background, as I find high contrasts such as black on white or vice-versa uncomfortable to read, and I have normal vision. The only bits I'm uncomfortable with are the glaringly red boxes containing the titles - I would suggest something more pastel in nature to harmonise with the nice scheme you have there otherwise. Maybe #ffd9d9 would do the trick?

My pathetic attempts at learning HTML can be laughed at here:

For the title links, the red is good, but the light blue on hover seems out of place and startling to me. Maybe a different (lighter but not too light) shade of red?

I suggest you use the same font everywhere. I see you use Arial for the main content on the homepage, but the rest of the site is almost completely Times New Roman. Color choice and readability is fine for me. Nice design for someone who's colorblind!! Congratulations
