Can someone give a good definition of recordset clone.

I just don't get what the recordsetclone is all about.
I typically use a DAO recordset object when working with forms etc.

the clone is what you would expect it is a copy. If you move around in the recordset then a form bound to that recordset moves. If you move around in the clone then nothing happens in the bound form. It is a copy not a pointer. People feel it is sometimes safer to do searches or record manipulations in the clone.
