Can someone do a quick review of my site?

I have a site that is still being developed (nearly complete) and I've had a few people tell me that the text is hard to read all over the site.

The problem is, I am very colorblind and the way the black reacts on the gray looks very readable to me..but apparently to those with better color perception.

Can a few people go to and let me know if the text is hard to read and what color/size would make it better?

All pages are pretty much the same, so you really only need to look at the index or a few to get the general idea.

If you know of a better color, please let me know the HEX for it. If you give me a name to look the hex for, I'll never figure it out.

Thanks.

Don't use red for your title links. It is hard to read. How about a light color, such as the hover color or white?

Are you talking about the ARTICLE links on the left side? Should it be two light colors instead of dark/light?

I'm sorry if this is not what you had in mind, but the border at the bottom is misaligned in my MSIE 6.0 browser.

Yes, I know there's a small bug in the template actually and I can't really do much to fix that at the moment. I just need to make things to look good and readable now :)

Then I'll attempt to fix the template shift.

The text is hard to read- not enough contrast between background and text - IMHO

Hmmm... Well, I don't have a problem reading it on the current background, but a lighter grey would probably be an improvement. It would also improve legibility if you added a little padding between the borders and the actual text.

What really is hard to read is the thin white headings on bright red backgrounds. Make the headings bold and/or use a darker shade for the background - how about one of the darker blues from your flash animation, say #003366 ? (incidentally, I'd lose the Flash and do it with HTML, CSS and ordinary images - it takes ages to load on a dial-up, it's not necessary to do what you're doing, so why use it?)

It also looks odd the way the font flits between Arial and Times New Roman in different sections and on different pages. Fix the font in your stylesheet and get rid of those <font> tags!
