I have 3 g700's

credit card maching is running through the phone switch and is dialing a 9 to get out. however when our parts counter tries to run a credit card, it keeps saying can't complete then tries again. sometimes it works on the 2nd try, 3rd try or never. below is my results from a trace station on the extension.
what is prefix|ars and how come sometimes it only dial part of the number sometimes the full number. how can i make it dial the full number everytime.
Or if there is something else somebody sees, please point it out as i am desperate at this point and need a fix asap.

Is this issue related to (or the same as) the question you posted in thread690-1273575?

yes, should i have just updated that one? if so i apologize.

I am no expert on Avaya, but your trace looks like it is using trunk group 141 first, and is only allowing 7 digits. Once the second call tries using trunk group 142, it is able to send all 11 digits.

Is it possible using ARS that the first Route-Pattern option in your selection is only set for 7 digits (Trunk-group 141), and the second Route Pattern allows all 11 digits?

and to add to the previous post in case people look at that one, it does not just roll between 3 numbers as i had been told. i called out from an analong phone today and got 6 different numbers.

that's what i was wondering, but it actually says it's using route pattern 142, is that the same as trunk group?

check with the credit card company or try to dial the number is it dialing. I Believe the 9 should not be sent out the T. lisa

the 9 has to in order to get outside. i ended up just piggybacking the cc machine onto a modem we have in the head end room. thanks though.
