Can SMDR port restrict phones??

i have a weird one here. extensions keep randomly going from unrestriceted to restricted on their own. is their anyway that the SMDR port that is connected to a third party cal accounting sytem could be doing this? i didnt think it was bidirectional but just wanted to check.

SMDR is output from the phone system only, I can't see that happening from that. But being short of any ideas I have to pass on a solution for the problem.

I know of only one way this could be happening.

Perhaps your system is set up in HOTEL ESS Mode.
