Can SIP Trunks forward Caller ID if contacting EHDU?

Hi Guys,

Mitel 3300 CXi MCD6.0 SP1, MBG 8.0.12.0

This customer has got a SIP trunk with 5 channels from the provider, the 3300 connects to using MBG as SIP Proxy.

So far everything works very well, hold, transfer, conferernces, DTMF, etc.

The question we have is when an outside caller with Caller ID ABC, calls in to the PBX and its call is transfered to an EHDU on his cell phone.

When EHDU receives the call, he sees Caller ID from SIP Trunks. Can Caller ID ABC be transfered to EHDU so people know who is calling before answering?

I remember somebody saying this was possible. How? Something to be changed in COS for EHDU and SIP Trunks? Any changes in the SIP Peer?

Try Originator's Display Update In Call Forwarding/Rerouting = YES in class of service of both the trunk and the extension

The two options that you need to set on the SIP Peer Profile are:
Public Calling Party Number Passthrough YES
Use Original Calling Party Number If Available YES
Both can be found in the Calling Line ID tab of the SIP Peer Profile Settings
