With the greater availability of digital video cameras, our school district is rapidly moving into creating and digital video in our classrooms. I am delivering our intranet on a Windows 2000 server and use FrontPage 2000 to maintain the web. The space remaining on this server's drive is too small to accommodate video files. It uses hotswap SCSI drives, and the availability of larger drives of this type to install in the server doesn't appear to be a practical solution. If space is avilable on another computer on our network, what steps are needed to create links to those files? I don't know scripting, but is the used of shared folders and/or files part of the solution? All of our personnel are allowed to browse pages on our server. Is it possible to set up the shared folder so that its security features will allow them to use a link on our web to vew or download a video file on second server?

Many thanks for any non-programing help, if it is possible.

Code:
<a href=&quot;[URL unfurl="true"]http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/sharedfolder/file.avi&quot;>link<a>[/URL]

just replace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with your computer's ip (the one with the shared folder).
it should work.

:)

hope this helps.
