I am getting ready to purchase 3 new servers:
1 Server for authentication as Domain Controller & AD Server 2003 Standard
1 DB Server running server 2003 standard no Active Directory and is a member server
1 Terminal Server running Server 2003 enterprise (for additional RAM requirments) no Active Directory and is member server

my question is:
Is there any problem setting up server 2003 standard as domain controller with Active Directory and have another Server 2003 Enterprise as a member server without active directory?

Thanks in Advance
Erick

Not a problem at all.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Agree with Davetoo....
Look into both the 32 and 64 bit versions, definite memory advantage with 64 bit.

I would also download and eval server 2008 for your purposes, the file caching is superior to the older versions, check out the advantages of Terminal services gateway.

Appreciate the reply, thanks

I just have not had much experience with Enterprise versions, unless it was the DC, and was unsure of the rules

to support 32 Meg of ram.

My Amiga 1200 had that amount of RAM in it :->

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?
