Hello,
Config:
internet<==cisco 1841<==>LanA<==>cisco 1750<==>p-p T1<==>cisco 1750<==>LanB
Win 2K and XP hosts on LanA can see 2K shares on LanB but can't see XP shares on LanB. 2K and XP hosts on LabB can see 2K shares on LanA but not XP shares on LanA. All hosts can see all shares on their own Lan segments.
There are no access-lists on either router. They're using Rip version 2 and both serial ports are IP Unnumbered F0. TCP/IP routing is all normal. Name resolution is working fine. Symptoms are the same whether specifying shares with hostnames or with IP addresses in the Net View commands.
Kicker: Hosts that access the two LANs from a GRE tunnel across the internet can see all shares on both LANs. Also, hosts on both LAN's can see all shares on hosts on the GRE tunnel-connected LANs. So the problem only exists between those two segments.
Creative solution, anybody?
Thanks!
David
