Hi all.

I have data stored in an ASCII text file. This file gets created each day. I have several days of files I would like to analyze together and report off.

Questions:
1) Can ReportNet connect to flat files?
2) If yes to point 1, can ReportNet connect to and search across multiple flat files that have the same layout?
3) If yes to point 2, is there a limitation on the number of flat files ReportNet can connect to?
4) Can fields in the flat files be keyed or indexed by ReportNet?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not really. If you open reportnet and go to
Directory->Data Sources->New Data Source
You will be able to see all the drivers you have available.

You can inport your flat files to anything that is ODBC compliant or one of the other vendor drivers available to you and it will read them or XML.

Thanks KingCrab.

I was expecting ReportNet to somehow make use of the Microsoft text driver and a .INI file. Guest well have to move the data to a DB or XML.

Thanks again.
