Can Red Hat Enterprise kickstart run a /bin/sh script?

In the %post portion of the kickstart file I am trying to run a script to be interpreted by /bin/sh. It seems to go nowhere, possibly even hanging. I see no output from it at all. In all honesty, it asks for no user input, but does try to write some output to stdout. Is there enough going for me at this point for this to work, or will I have to find some other way to get that script run? If so, any suggestions of how to run it would be most welcome.

Thanx!!

Kickstart is the Red Hat means of mass remote installation of their Linux on a number of networked machines without having to go from machine to machine individually to perform a full cd based install.

To my knowledge, it cannot. But we always put a script on the disks, and quickly run thorugh with our KVM switch executing the script just after it's kickstarted.

We use the script to grab the latest versions of several configuration files. This method works fairly smoothly for us.

If you need to kickstart the nodes often for some reason, you might want to consider moving to the Rocks distro. Granted that it is intended for beowulf clusters, but there isn't a reason in the world it couldn't be used in other applications.
