Can PIX cause this problem?

We have a PIX 515-E. The configuration needs some work since I see a lot of Null Rules when I enter PDM. However, we recently had one of 4 cisco switches go out. Since I replaced it, some of our users keep getting dropped from the network. If you ping a server from the workstation, it may ping once, then time out. This does not happen to everyone, but most.

Sorry if this is not a PIX config problem, but it seems to be. I will be trying to just shut off the PIX and see it that has any bearing on it. All those with problems are behind the firewall. The rest of our networks are connecting through without a problem.

Maybe its a switch problem?

Thanks!
Mike

Does not seem to be a firewall problem. I think you have a autosense problem on your switches.

Try to ping from the PC which you mentioned some other PCs or devices on the same Segment , so that we can separate and decide if the problem from the network switches or from the PIX ..
