hi, this is weird.

i have an user who can't map any network drive after established the vpn connection.
but yet, he can ping the server by name and by ip. he still gets the network path not found error.

this is different from other problem i had before. before, when i can't map, i can't evern ping by name. but in case, we can ping the name! so why still can't be found?

Thanks.

I have a related question.

I want to run a batch file that maps all usual network drives once a remote user has accessed our LAN via VPN Client. However, when I run the batch file it asks for a password as the remote user hasn't authenticated with the domain yet. Does anyone know the format that username and password need to be entered in the DOS window while this batch file runs?

net view \\computername
=network path not found

and yet, i can ping computername

Just for S\G, try the IP address instead of the computername...
You might also try adding a static route. That shouldn't be the problem, but stranger things have happened..
ROUTE ADD <Destination> MASK <subnet mask> <gateway>

Thanks,
