I have created ten different brushes using Edit | Define Brush Preset. I would like to create some interesting effects with them, namely to scatter them all. When using Brush Dynamics and checking scatter, I can only work with one brush at a time. Is there any way to have Phtoshop change brushes as it paints???

try pressing the keys with the "<" or ">", the same keys are used for comma's (,) and period type (.)

...this will cycle through the brushes...

have fun!

...yes, also pressing the number keys will change the opacity of the brush on the fly or in other words as you go...

1 = 10 %
2 = 20 %

...and so on...

0 = 100%

...adding the shift key will effect the flow of the brush instead...

...the shift key in combination with the "+" or "-" keys will change the mode of the brush i.e. difference, exclusion etc. This is also true when working with layer modes and opacity...

have fun!

THANK YOU!!! That was extremely helpful! I gave you a star. Where can I find more great tips like these?

You could look on Photoshop itself IE:- Edit - Keyboard Shortcuts. This will list them all, also you can set your own up.
