Meridian 11c release 25.40 B+
Centigram (Mitel) NuPoint Messenger voicemail (external)

I'm trying to set up multiple users on a single phoneset, each with their own voicemail, but the Centigram isn't integrated so things aren't working quite right.

I built ACD 3991 and pointed it to DN 3454 with NCFW.
I gave 3454 CLS SFA.
I set up a mailbox for 3991 and can use it if I dial voicemail directly.
3991 rings to 3454 just fine.
When I dial 3991 (internal or external - 3991 is a DID) and let it ring out to voicemail I see
Voice Mail
3454 3980-6009 "F "
on the display, so I know the PBX is passing 3454 instead of 3991 to voicemail and I get 3454's mailbox, which is what you'd expect since 3454 is "in control" when FDN kicks in.

[BLUE]Question - When a caller dials 3991 and the user isn't there, can the PBX pass the ACD's 3991 DN to voicemail instead of the 3454? If so, what do I need to change?[/BLUE]

I haven't figured out how to make the Centigram do a tree mailbox - its docs are almost as obscure as the Meridian's sometimes. A tree mailbox would send both callers and users to a single spot where they'd manually pick which voicemail to use ("Press 1 for John Smith's voicemail, 2 for Jane Doe..."), but I don't have anything to use for an example to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

If the Meridian can send different DNs to the Centigram depending on which DN or ACDN was dialed, my problem is solved. Or if someone knows enough about the Centigram to explain how to make a tree menu work, that'd be even better.

If you use a "Phantom TN" in place of the ACD quese, you are more likely to deliver the origonally dialed DN to the system - and flag the mailbox you wish for.

Thanks for replying.

I've never had to set up a phantom. In a post on Jan 9, Hasago mentioned phantom loops start at 61 on an 11c. When I try to build a phone on 61 (and 62, 63, etc.) I get a SCH0122 Loop out-of-range error so apparently phantoms aren't enabled. LD 22 SLT says I have 2500 phantom ports available. How do I enable them?

Set DNIS to YES on the RDB for that DID route will also solve this problem, but this will affect all calls.

In LD 97
Code:
REQ CHG
TYPE SUPL
SUPL N61

This will start your ability to build a Phantom on TN 61 0. If you need another, you would add it here. Older systems required you to build Phantoms on SUPL 96, and increase by multiples of 4, so if you get an error on N61, use N96. Trick is, you will still build your TN on 61 0.

Hope thie helps,

Scott M.

the mail looks at the original dialed dn. either make the original dialed dn a menber of that mb or use an idc table to change the original dialed dn.. phantom's are great for a work around but i seldom use them due to lic cost. i have 4 built in my switch, not on a phantom loop but on a data port... 64 0 14 30..example

Scott, that didn't work for me. The highest card in the box is in slot 15, if that makes any difference.

Superloop number is out-of-range (0-255).

I also tried N60 because the loop numbers look like they start on even digits. Also, I tried to print anything that might be on loop 64, for instance, and I get the out-of-range error again.

John, the Centigram is external to the PBX and I did put the ACD DN as the source for that mailbox, but the 11c is passing the physical handset's DN, not the ACD's DN so the Centigram is opening that mailbox, not the ACD's.

This was a post I save from another form

Yes, on an option 11C moving from rls 23 to 24, the superloop is moved from
64 to 96 and the card slot is moved from 41 to 61 during conversion. It
shocked the heck out of me because I could not find any documentation to say
that that would happen. In the old rls 23 system you could have a max of 3
cabinets so slot 1 - 39 but now you can have 5 cabinets so slots 1 - 59.
Therefore, you start Phantoms at slot 61 which corresponds to Superloop 96.
Makes yer head spin don't it.

Thanks Gene, I'll check this out tomorrow.

Got the phantom superloop working - much appreciated. I built a phantom DN on 61 0 but I must be dense because I couldn't get it to work. I only had about 15 minutes to "play" so I'm sure I missed something obvious.

I gave the phantom a DID DN and it's MARPed. I set Hunt to the physical handset's DN. CLS is CTD XFA FNA PUA MWA HTA LNA ICDA. I set FTR FDN to the voicemail DN and also gave it FTR CFW 4.

When you dial the phantom internally, the CPND name flickers for an instant and then the calling phone's display shows the "Release..." message. External calls get the "Not in service" message from Nancy Nortel. Neither rings the physical handset.

Any suggestions? (and please have a star for the great help you've already given)

A Phantom requires the following GTR if you didn't add it: I am using 4 and the 6245 as examples. it is the only way phantoms can do what they need to do.

FTR DCFW 4 6245

So, if the Phantom's DN was 1234...anyone calling 1234 would ring at 6245

Just making sure all observers are covered :)

I've got everything working - a big thanks to Gene.

I created a FAQ out of this thread for other people to benefit.
