Client has salesman in another state. When cleints call this salesman and his ext. is entered via AA or when call is transferred to his ext. he wants the caller to be transferred to his out of town number. I woudl assume that CO Call Trnasfer is needed. Can R1 do this, if so how and if not what is the earliest version that can do this I would assume a FLASH HOOK is required from PM

Partner Mail R1 - PC on a wall? No Centrex transfer.

R3 will allow it.

Both are manufacture discontinued.

Replace it with Partner Messaging. All releases have Centrex Transfer as a selector code option.

Yes, this is the old box on the wall.

So R3 and up or just R3 via Partner Messaging?

Can I do this with Parnter Mail VS?

Upgrade processor to an ACS R6 or R7 and use remote call forward.

its a phone system function not VM I have a customer using"the old box on the wall " and we are doing just what you described.

we just upgraded the partner two processor to a ACS 6 call in press 4 for bill ,it goes to bills extension that is remote call forward accross the state to bills house.

you will use two co lines for the duration of the call so you need to be sure there are enough lines to cover it

Partner Mail R3

Partner Mail VS R5

Partner Messaging R1, R6, R7

You must have Centrex, or "Call Transfer - Disconnect" from your telco provider.

This type of transfer will work better than RCF, as it removes the call from your lines instead of tieing up two of them for the duration of the call, and the volume levels will be correct since it is through the central office instead of a conference through the Partner.

However, consider that it can only happen through a selector code in the auto attendant, or manually by a person. Once a call has left the auto attendant and reached a mailbox, the caller can't transfer out to the Centrex number. If that is a consideration, use the RCF feature.

I do not want to use RCF due to the voulme and line usage issues. I am confused. CAN R1 flash and transfer via Centrex? If so I am still not sure how to program it. the COS only goes up to 9 on the R1.
