can oracle 734 and oracle 817 run on same AIX 433 server ?

In oracle 734, oracle kernel extension loader is :
/etc/loadext /etc/pw-syscall4.1

in oracle 817 :
/etc/loadext -l /ext/pw-syscall

after installing oracle 817, can we still startup oracle 734 database without rerun /etc/loadext /etc/pw-syscall4.1
?

if not, what is the recomendation ?Thank you

I see no reason why this should not work - AIX 4.3.3 can run both versions, so why not both at once ?

Hi,
It should work ok, given enough memory for the separate SGAs etc, but it will use up resources, so the default settings for shared memory, semaphores, etc may need to be adjusted..
