I am trying to get my network going - 2 computers (Win2000 & 98SE). On each computer I can see myself but not the other computer?

I know this is a simple answer but I cannot remember what to do?

Thanks for the suggestions

Are they in the same subnet? Jeter@LasVegas.com

Do you have NetBEUI installed? Either that or a WINs server, which I wouldn't think you would have in a 2 computer network, will give you the names in Network Neighborhood.

make sure your identification matches (workfroup name, etc.) and then you may try running ipconfig from the command line to get the IPs and then try to ping the other pc, this will tell you if communication lines are open. sometimes this is more acurate as windows seems to have a hard time refreshing if workgoup names are changed.
