At home I recently hooked up a LinkSys router/firewall and installed the SecuRemote software. Now, for about the past week or so, I can retrieve my email through outlook, I can connect to messenger programs, such as AIM, but I can only get to secure sites in Internet Explorer. I cannot get to any regular sites, only secure sites with https:. I went through every setting possible in IE, restored everything to default, completely disabled Norton Internet Security, went through all of my Internet connection/network settings and found nothing that helped. Nothing has changed on the computer in quite some time and I haven’t played around with anything since I hooked up the router, and for a short time after I had no problems getting to any sites. I have adelphia cablelink but that is obviously working because I can get my email and so on. Unfortunatly I have to send this from work because I cannot get to this site from home. Does anyone have any clue why this could be happening?

Can you check ports that are blocked?
Port 80 has to be open to surf...

With a router, why do you need Norton IS AT ALL?
Why not just uninstall it if it might be in the way?

What if you type in addresses rather than links?
