I thought one could pause a Print job and move another job ahead if it? I am able to pause the one printing but how or can I move another one to start?
Is this possible?
Now this maybe part of the Printers Driver and not the server? The printers are shared as Network printers
Anyway,
I needed to wait longer. If I paused the current job (Right click it and click Pause) and set the priority of the jobs below it to 99 (right click on each print job to move up one at a time, then click Properties then slide the bar from 1 to 99, Click OK)
then wait for the pages in the printers buffer to spit out the current job, it then started the jobs below.
This took about 20-30 seconds
But it did work.
Then I "Resumed” the Paused Jobs
I did this to two different large print jobs (one was 147 pages) in the queue of ~ 7 jobs and it worked great. The lower ones printed out and the larger ones stayed until resumed.
All Print jobs in our system start out at a Priority of 1 (lowest)
