Can not send outgoing internet mail

Hello all,

I have run into a problem sending new internet email. Users can reply to an internet email, but when they want to create a new one, we end up getting 450 MX lookup failure errors in the GWIA and the messages are being sent to the DEFER directory.

We are running GW SP3 on a Netware 6SP3 server. We use a different company for our ISP and another one to host our email. I think it is a setup issue with the GWIA, but I can't put a finger on it. I have found TID'S on novell's site and followed their directions but have had no luck. It seems like an easy fix and I am sure it will be when I find it out, but it appears that I am having a brain lapse.

Any Ideas?

I've seen this before when the Groupwise server was pointing to a DNS server that had been shutdown.
I'd also double check to make sure that the Groupwise server was not pointing to a root server
