I cannot search from the address bar. I have checked the settings from the search button and they are where they need to be. Does anyone have any suggestions.
I am running Windows XP with IE6. I am using quick search
and have a short cut for google set to "goo" I would type goo(space)hotmail and a new window would open with the google results. Now This is what I get
and the message This page cannot be displayed. I can not do any type of search from the addres bar. Thanks in advance for any help..........

Sorry I don't have a solution for you. I am experiencing the same problem... Any words you use have the /?%20 in front of them and give you a blank error page.

If anyone has a fix, please help. I have tried searching and also tried several fixes to similar problems, but have had no success.

I found the fix!!!!

Here is the file you need...
Click on this file to download and save it, close all browser windows and then open the file, answer YES to merge the registry changes, reboot and YOU ARE FIXED!

From the info I read, some spyware ad program that was downloaded (probably a game download)changed a search setting in the registry to point to their site, and when it was removed from the system, the registry was never returned to its original settings for searching.

Good luck!
