Can not run "ipcs"

I am running AIX 5.2 ML3.
when I run #>ipcs today, I got the following error message:

What's wrong with my system? How do I fix it?

My first question would be if you have applied any maintenance? Read this:

man readx

It will explain the error codes for readx that may be your problem.

1st did it run before ??? are you root when youtry to run it

I think you are right. I rebooted my server and had no problem at all.
This problem happened after the MQSI got a core dump. Maybe there was just garbage left in the memory.
