Can not run DirectX Diagnostic tool on XP SP3.
Try Start/Run and type “ dxdiag”, but receiving a message “Windows cannot find dxdiag file……
What I can do to fix this.
My DirectX is 9.0
Thanks for assistance.
First, make sure that dxdiag.exe resides in the default installation folder (in Windows XP this is C:\Windows\System32). Since you are getting this error message, it is most likely missing from this location.
Open a command prompt and type the following, pressing 'Enter' after each line:
cd \
dir dxdiag.exe /s
After Windows processes the command, all of the locations that the executable resides should be displayed. If Windows finds the file in another location, copy it back to the C:\Windows\System32.
If it is not found, run the "DirectX End-User Runtime" installer to update the DirectX components on your computer.
First thing I would do would actually be to find out your Paths, next thing I would do would be to do a search and find where it lives, then try running it from there.

The real world is not about exam scores, it's about ability.

Thanks very much for your tutorial.
Using Command prompt and
cd \
dir dxdiag.exe /s
found dxdig.exe file in C:\Windows\SevicePackFiles\i386, copy-paste it in System 32 folder and all is O.K now.
