I had purchased and installed Peachtree 2008 (upgraded from 2005). I had problems with my year ending 2007 balances not transferring correctly to the year 2008. I had to verify my data. I did this twice and still had the same problem. Receiving no help from tech support at Peachtree, I decided to go back to my original Peachtree. I did this on Saturday and had the 2005 program running and re-entered everything for the year 2008. Peachtree did an update on Sunday and is now causing a problem in regards to logging in. It says that there are multi user. Again tech support is not helping (they don't support 2005 anymore!!) Nice to know they don't support their programs after a couple of years....

Any suggestions?

When balances do not transfer correctly after closing a fiscal year it is because the data is damaged. We have seen this many times before. It is not a software issue.

You need to get the data repaired prior to closing the fiscal period.

Most login issues may be resolved by rebooting all computers on the network. This includes the file server if you are using one. Make sure all workstations are shutdown prior to rebooting the file server.

There are many Peachtree Support Centers that will be able to assist you with your old Peachtree products. Checkout Peachtrees website under support/local support. Many are still supporting version 1.0.
