I have a MFXPS server FR2, All MS and citrix SP's

now my problem is that i cannot reboot or shut down the server from the GUI (console or session) i have to remove the power in order to reboot

any ideas? Brock D. Mowry

How do you mean that you can't reboot?

Do you not see the option, or is the option there, but not responding?

If you do not see the option, then chances are that whatever user you are logged in as is not a member of the local administrators group.

If you see the option and it's not working, then I'd suggest a rebuild - unless someone else knows a way to fix this.

Hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

check the local and domain security policy of the server, ensure the user you are logged in as has the permissions to shut down the server.

it's not a permition issue it's an OS or Citrix issue
any account local or domain is not able to shut down, restart

it just started happening a week ago with no changes to the server Brock D. Mowry

Look after this file.
C:\WINNT\system32\tsshutdn.exe
Is it there ?

It's not a Citrix issue, because MetaFrame makes no changes to the way that Windows handles reboots.

If it's an O/S issue at all, it will be due to file permissions or corruption.

Can you reboot the server using the option in the CMC? If not, then you may need to locate a fresh copy of tsshutdn.exe, as Traver implies.

Hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
